The Travvy Awards, an event often compared to the Academy Awards in the travel industry, returned for their eighth year in 2022, once again recognizing the top industry suppliers, including destinations, hotels, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators, and more based on the knowledge and experiences of those who know them best, travel advisors.
Award winners are voted on by travel advisors who have their pulse on the travel industry and this year, Puerto Vallarta shinned by winning in five categories, highlighting the popularity of the city and the hard work done by the Public Trust for Tourism Promotion and Advertising of Puerto Vallarta.
The destination secured a win in all nominated categories except for the “Best Academic Program for Travel Agents:
Best Culinary Destination in Mexico – Silver Trophy
Best Tourist Office in Mexico – Bronze Trophy
Best Destination in Mexico – Bronze Trophy
Best Wedding Destination in Mexico – Bronze Trophy
Best Destination for Honeymoons in Mexico – Bronze Trophy
Puerto Vallarta has managed to win in most of the categories where it was nominated, demonstrating the transcendence of this city within international markets, its diverse gastronomy, and the great variety of scenarios for weddings and honeymoons, among countless other benefits that make our port unique.
Rebounding from the pandemic, it has really been a historic year for Puerto Vallarta tourism. It has gone from a place of receiving from the pandemic to one of some of the best tourism growth the city has ever seen.
